Success!

Well, after a slow start last week, we had a rousing success for our second Wednesday morning Praise-n-Play. In addition to the five regular pairs of parents and children from our church, we also had five new moms and their children join us.

I am so thankful this ministry is off to such a good start and pray that it continues. For all my efforts to publicize it through local news media, it was the personal invitation of one of our regulars to her teacher colleagues that brought these new faces through our door.

I was reminded today of the importance of personal invitation. We like to operate with a more hands-off, no-pressure-intended approach on so many occasions - sign up for this event, or purchase tickets for that.

But extending a personal invitation says:

You are wanted,
you are welcome,
you belong.
